Retail Regional Manager

Responsibilities include achieving goals in distribution, shelving, merchandising, and pricing across all principals on agreed retail priorities; continuously enhancing sales coverage and productivity of the Retail Selling Organization; ensuring adherence to company policies within the Retail Selling Organization; proactively communicating and collaborating with supervisors and principals on major initiatives such as new product introductions and contests; developing relationships with key operations decision-makers to help Business Managers achieve principals' objectives; acting as a trainer for team members, leading projects, and managing key accounts; serving as the main operations contact for the Customer Business Team; coordinating theme merchandising events that span multiple departments; providing expertise to General Managers and Business Managers on operations issues and the effectiveness of both full-time and part-time team members; assisting Business Managers and multi-function resources in communicating customer needs, objectives, and future plans; coordinating regional reporting and tracking needs to ensure consistency and control; effectively using technology, including RW3, to communicate retail priorities and analyze coverage; analyzing retail condition data reports to improve in-store presence results; ensuring the personal development of Unit Managers and conducting annual Performance Agreements; understanding and optimizing the selling effectiveness of the Retail Sales Organization and identifying areas for improvement; conducting recruiting of Retail Associates, maintaining incident files, and performing personnel auto inspections; and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business preferred; five years of prior retail management experience, food broker, and set responsibility experience required; prior supervisory experience is also required; strong interpersonal, organizational, and sales skills; proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; ability to effectively communicate with others; ability to operate a calculator, fax machine, telephone, paper cutter, copier, hand tools, hand truck, and pallet jack; a valid driver's license and ability to drive a car for extended periods; and willingness and ability to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e., refrigerated and freezer sections of retail stores).
Physical requirements include the ability to see clearly, travel as needed, perceive colors accurately, and have strong listening skills.
