Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101. Outreach is important; it helps families and professionals become more involved in Missouri’s system of childhood services, including early learning and afterschool programs. From learning about programs to providing feedback on a policy, there are a variety of ways that stakeholders can engage with others at the local, regional, and state level. What You’ll Do Serve as the primary web maintainer and point of contact for the Office of Childhood. Maintain the overall appearance and technical functions of the department’s public-facing websites. Complete website updates in an accurate and timely manner, including but not limited to adding, editing, and removing content, troubleshooting errors, maintaining quality control, and ensuring content meets the necessary requirements per the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Collaborate with the Communications team to review, track, and maintain web analytics and related data. Primary accessibility staff: ensure all publications and web content meet DESE Communication ADA accessibility guidelines; provide training and technical assistance to staff as needed. Develop surveys and manage systems for data collection, tracking, and storage. Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance. Full job description available upon request. All You Need For Success Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in communications, public relations, journalism, web design and development, or a closely related field. Or four or more years of experience successfully performing progressively responsible tasks, including website content management and related accessibility requirements.
