Registered Nurse ICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized critical care nursing services to ICU patients in an acute care hospital setting. Ensures high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, and intervention, adhering to established clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and manage complex medical equipment in the ICU.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Respond swiftly to patient emergencies, providing life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities accurately using Meditech electronic charting.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), without restrictions.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, including IV start skills.
• Be willing to work 36 or 48 hours per week with weekend rotation.
• Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate ability to float within scope to meet staffing needs.
• Be familiar with Meditech electronic charting system.
