Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, has previously been named "Best Place to Have a Baby" and is a Maternal Level IV designated facility Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:45PM-7:15AM) for 36 hours/week, with Weekend and holiday requirements. Women's & Infants' Services Department highlights:

• Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
• Will float to Labor & Delivery (LDR), Mother/Baby (couplet care), Neonatal ICU (NICU) and GYN/Antepartum
• 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites
• Average 275 + deliveries per month
• Wide range of patients and plan of care water births, nitrous oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients
• 63-bed Level III NICU will work with Level II infants
• 27-bed Mother/Baby, couplet care unit

Qualifications Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma required
• BSN is preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program required.
• One (1) year or more of Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP) setting RN experience strongly preferred
• BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• NRPA Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
• CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention training maintained annually within 90 days required

What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assess the patient
• Plan the care of the patient
• Intervene as appropriate
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporate age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
