Financial Analyst Business Partner (Accounting Focus)
Location: Marietta, GA (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $45-50/hour
Type: Long-Term Contract

Role Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst Business Partner with a strong accounting foundation to support Finance leadership during a high-demand period. This role sits at the intersection of finance and accounting , driving accurate close execution, strengthening accrual processes, and delivering clear, actionable financial insights to leadership.


You will partner closely with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy, provide meaningful variance analysis, and help guide strategic decision-making. This is a highly visible role requiring strong communication, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to Finance and operational leaders , providing financial insights and decision support
• Own and manage monthly accruals and prepaids in accordance with GAAP
• Deliver variance analysis across cost, revenue, and cash flow , identifying key drivers and business impacts
• Translate financial results into clear narratives and recommendations for Director-level and above leadership
• Support and enhance month-end close processes , driving accuracy and efficiency
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities using advanced Excel
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Proactively identify issues, challenge assumptions, and recommend solutions in a fast-paced environment

Key Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis , with strong exposure to accruals and close processes
• Solid understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, SUMIF, large data analysis)
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders and present financial insights to senior stakeholders
• Experience in a large corporate or public company environment
• Strong communication skills with high attention to detail and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting IT Finance or operational business units
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Hyperion, or IBM Planning tools
