About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: - Completion of required immunizations and health screenings. - Signed offer letter and background check clearance. Description: The Labor and Delivery Nurse provides direct patient care. The nurse will assess and monitor patients during labor and delivery. Collaboration with physicians and other healthcare team members is essential. The nurse will educate patients and families about the birthing process. Competency in fetal monitoring and emergency interventions is required. Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients is a priority. Participation in quality improvement initiatives is expected. Documentation of patient care activities and outcomes must be completed. The nurse will adhere to all policies and procedures related to patient care. Professional development and staying current with best practices are important.
