Job Summary

We are seeking an Account Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Fresno, CA within the insurance industry. This role is ideal for an organized, customer-focused professional with 1 to 2 years of experience who is interested in building a long-term career in insurance support, client service, and agency operations.

The Account Technician will support assigned teams and agents with daily tasks related to maintaining existing business and helping secure new business. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, professional communication, and being a dependable part of a collaborative support team. The position offers valuable hands-on training, exposure to insurance workflows, and the opportunity to develop technical knowledge in systems, carrier processes, policy documentation, and client service.

Key Responsibilities

- Support agents and internal team members with daily insurance service, processing, and administrative activities.
- Prepare and update submission applications, supplemental applications, marketing files, and carrier submission materials.
- Order and process loss runs, MVRs, change requests, verifications, endorsements, and related insurance documentation.
- Maintain expiration lists, suspense items, carrier files, marketing databases, and loss run carrier information.
- Prepare policies for client delivery and assist with certificates of insurance, evidence of property insurance, premium collection, and cancellation notices.
- Generate routine correspondence and assist other team members or office departments as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary Range: $41,600 to $44,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Fresno, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support insurance account servicing activities, including submissions, endorsements, policy delivery, certificates, and client documentation.
- Maintain accurate records in AMS 360, marketing folders, suspense systems, carrier files, and internal databases.
- Assist agents and account teams with maintaining existing business and supporting new business opportunities.
- Process routine correspondence, change requests, verifications, loss runs, MVRs, and related insurance service tasks.

- 1 to 2 years of professional experience preferred, ideally in customer service, office support, insurance, or a related environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Word, with working knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
- Willingness and ability to learn AMS 360 and become proficient with agency systems and workflows.
- Ability to read and interpret insurance policy language, procedure manuals, memos, emails, and professional correspondence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate professionally by phone, email, and in small group settings.
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions and apply common sense to solve routine problems.
- Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a team-focused environment.
- Must participate in seminars, classes, and continuing education for knowledge and skill development.
- Must obtain an active Property and Casualty Insurance License within 6 months from date of hire to be considered for continued employment.
- Must be able to sit regularly, use hands for computer and document handling, talk, hear, and occasionally stand, walk, and reach.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience in an insurance agency, brokerage, carrier, or client service support role.
- Familiarity with AMS 360 or similar agency management software.
- Interest in developing a long-term career in property and casualty insurance.
- Strong accuracy, follow-through, and ability to support a busy team environment.
