Senior Fire Protection Engineer

A well-established, multidiscipline engineering consultancy — decades in business, hundreds of employees, offices across the US — is looking to add a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to its growing Dallas team. This role offers a senior seat within a firm-wide fire protection practice built up over the past decade, with real ownership of client relationships and technical direction rather than a stepping-stone position. The Role You'll perform analysis and design of fire protection systems — suppression, detection, alarm, and mass notification — across commercial, retail, institutional, government, and industrial projects. Building and fire code analysis and interpretation sits at the center of the role, alongside day-to‑day management of internal and external client relationships. You'll carry project management responsibility for both internal projects and external client work, produce research and technical documentation for internal and external distribution, provide peer review on colleagues' work product, and represent the firm through active participation in SFPE and NFPA. Expect close coordination with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and corrosion control disciplines on every project — this is a genuinely multidiscipline environment, not a fire‑only silo.
