Trader Job Summary: Customer Service Specialist (Trading Desk)
Texas Precious Metals is seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy Customer Service Specialist to assist clients through both precious metals buying and liquidation processes. This high-trust position demands a strong understanding of market dynamics and commitment to excellence in service and operations.
Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and via email
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of precious metals retail products and market trends
- Execute client orders using discretion and judgment
- Oversee and ensure prompt processing of abnormal or complex orders
- Serve as the go-to expert on product, inventory, and shipment questions
- Assist and represent clients through the entire purchase and liquidation order lifecycle.
- Assist with daily business operations and ad hoc responsibilities
- Travel occasionally (less than 10%)
- All other duties as assigned by management
Customer Service Specialist Skills and Competencies:
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Sound judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of responsibility
- Clean and professional appearance
Trader Qualifications:
- Some college coursework preferred
- Experience in non-commissioned sales and or customer service
- Highly detail-oriented, dependable, and ethical
- Finance market knowledge beneficial but not required
Work Environment:
Office-based role with occasional exposure to manufacturing areas and outdoor work. May require use of PPE including safety glasses and closed-toe shoes.
