Compensation $60,000–$75,000 base DOE, plus commission — total on-target earnings

approximately $110,000–$140,000+

Lynnwood Heating is a locally owned residential and light-commercial HVAC contractor serving the greater Seattle area.

We're a growing company, investing in the people and systems to support that growth. We're looking for a hands-on

Sales Manager with real estimating chops — someone who can run their own appointments and close business today,

while helping us build the sales process, pricing, and (eventually) the team we'll need to hit that next level.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Manager owns Lynnwood Heating's sales function end to end: generating and closing replacement, new-install,

and light-commercial opportunities; producing accurate field estimates and load calculations; and building the pricing,

proposal, and follow-up systems that let the company scale. This is a player-coach role — in year one you'll carry a

personal sale and estimating load, and as sales volume grows, you'll help recruit and lead additional sales staff.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Run-in-home and on-site consultations for residential replacement, new installation, and light-commercial HVAC

opportunities.

• Perform accurate load calculations (Manual J/S/D) and equipment sizing, and prepare clear, competitive, well-margined

proposals.

• Own the full sales cycle — lead follow-up, needs assessment, proposal presentation, financing conversation, and close.

• Maintain the sales pipeline and customer records in our field service software (Housecall Pro or similar CRM).

• Track and report core sales KPIs: close rate, average ticket, and gross margin per job.

• Coordinate handoff to install and service teams to protect the customer experience and job profitability.

• Keep current on equipment lines, financing options, and available WA/utility heat-pump rebates and incentives to help

customers buy with confidence.

• Build and refine the pricebook, proposal templates, and sales process needed to support the company's continued growth.

• As the team grows, help recruit, train, and manage additional sales representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of HVAC sales experience, including hands-on estimating (residential and/or light-commercial).

• Working knowledge of load calculations, equipment sizing, ductwork, and installation practices.

• Track record of closing in-home consultative sales; comfortable presenting financing options.

• Experience with a CRM or field service management platform (Housecall Pro experience a plus).

• Valid Washington driver's license and a clean driving record.

• HVAC technician or install background is a plus, though not required.

• Prior experience building or improving a sales process, or mentoring other sales staff, is a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a field-based role requiring daily local travel to customer homes and job sites throughout the greater Seattle area.

Estimating work regularly requires accessing attics, crawl spaces, and mechanical rooms, and may involve climbing

ladders and working in a range of weather conditions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary of $60,000–$75,000/year, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission on installed sales:

• 5% commission on the gross sale price of residential replacement and new-installation jobs sold and collected.

• 3% commission on gross profit for light-commercial jobs, reflecting their larger scope and different margin structure.

• A $5,000 growth bonus if Lynnwood Heating reaches its annual growth target for the year, to keep individual incentives

aligned with company growth.

• A 1% override on sales generated by any sales reps you hire and train once the team expands.

This structure is calibrated to current Seattle-area pay for HVAC sales and estimating talent, with a first-year on-target

earnings range of roughly $110,000–$140,000+ depending on personal production, and no cap on upside as the company

scales.
