Posted: Sep 15, 2026 Senior Technical Account Manager Simplex System Controls - Elmhurst, IL business_center Full-time Salary: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 Annually Application Deadline: N/A Manufacturing Simplex System Controls is looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager to lead key customer relationships, support engineered industrial control panel and automation solutions and drive profitable account growth. This role serves as the primary commercial contact for strategic accounts while partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, and company leadership to deliver high-quality solutions and an excellent customer experience. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned strategic customer accounts. Develop and execute account plans that drive revenue growth, customer retention, profitability, and market share expansion. Identify new business opportunities, including retrofits, upgrades, upselling, and cross-selling. Lead customer meetings, proposals, pricing discussions, contract negotiations, and project reviews. Partner with Engineering and Operations to align customer requirements with compliant, high-quality solutions. Support projects from quotation through shipment and customer acceptance while monitoring schedules, margins, and change orders. Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to Technical Account Managers and junior team members. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in technical sales, account management, or an industrial manufacturing environment. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in a technical, engineering, sales, or marketing discipline; equivalent experience considered. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, specifications, and customer requirements. Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor control systems, and automation applications preferred. Understanding of UL 508A, NEC, NFPA 79, SCCR, and NEMA standards preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and customer relationship skills. Experience with ERP or CRM systems preferred.
