Industrial PainterThis role focuses on cleaning, blasting, prepping, masking, and painting large industrial valves using a multi-coat system. The position involves both blasting and painting work, as well as safely moving heavy parts through each step of the process using material-handling equipment. The painter ensures all surfaces meet required specifications and quality standards before and after repair.Essential SkillsAt least 5+ years of experience in industrial painting and blasting.Proficiency in cleaning, prepping, and blasting surfaces for industrial painting.Ability to operate an overhead crane safely and effectively.Ability to operate a forklift to move heavy parts and equipment.Hands-on experience using pot guns and gravity-fed paint guns for spraying.Knowledge of different types of paint and proper mixing techniques for industrial applications.Ability to use wet and dry mill gauges to check blast profiles and coating thickness.Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a clean, air-conditioned shop environment. The typical schedule runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday, with most Saturdays and Sundays also available. Candidates should be comfortable working long shifts, including 13-hour days when workload is high.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX 77032.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
