Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Marshalltown, Iowa. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/12/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position in a facility with 16 beds, located in an accessible region. The role involves providing care to trauma, stroke, obstetric, and advanced cardiac patients. The position requires experience in emergency department settings, actively practicing with current certifications, and adherence to specialized protocols and certifications. Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: 24 months of current/recent emergency department experience; Iowa active license or multi-state compact license; active BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, De-Escalation (e.g., SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI), and NIH Stroke Scale certificates; Skills specific to emergency room discipline; reliable work history/resume/employment history with references from supervisory roles within the past 24 months; valid drivers license; orientation scheduled for 10/5, 10/12, and 10/19; experience with EPIC electronic medical records highly preferred, recent travel experience highly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, stroke, OB, and advanced cardiac patients; familiarity with EPIC EMR system; recent travel experience preferred. Additional Information: The candidate must be able to transport and care for complex patients, work scheduled weekends including holidays, and comply with the organization's policies regarding holiday work and employee separation. Fire in critical drips, active certifications, and proven experience are essential to the role.
