Job Title: Structured Cabling Installer I
Structured Cabling Installer I (BICSI INST1)

Position Summary
Responsible for installing horizontal cabling and basic infrastructure components according to company standards, TIA guidelines, and BICSI best practices with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Work mostly independently on basic tasks
Install Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A cabling
Terminate jacks, plates, patch panels
Install J-hooks, supports, and cable tray
Read basic drawings, cable schedules & pull sheets
Understand TIA standards conceptually
Assist with basic testing and documentation
Maintain labeling accuracy and log pathways
Assist with test setup
Mentor helpers when assigned

Required Qualifications

1+ year field experience
Knowledge of basic installation methods
Able to interpret simple drawings

Preferred Qualifications

BICSI Installer 1 (INST1)
OSHA-30
Manufacturer copper training

Core Competencies

Quality workmanship
Time management
Problem-solving at basic level

Working Conditions
Jobsite environments, some lifts, confined areas.
