Registered Nurse - Part-time

Professional Nursing CareResponsible for providing professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, and medical care evaluation by following established standards and practices. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as a primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians.Essential FunctionsObtain patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality. Obtains and documents health history, information on chief complaint, vital signs, and health risk factors and assesses disease condition. Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.Execute prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.Delegate as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.Document patient assessment and intervention data using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.Perform procedures under the supervision of trained nursing staff and/or the medical director.Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information.Respond to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.Maintain patient confidentiality.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Perform other essential duties as assigned.Shift Requirements2 days per week.9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.Education/Experience/Skill RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.Currently licensed to practice as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Missouri.Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.Aesthetics experience required.Experience with injectable filler and neurotoxins required.Minimum of one-year professional nursing experience required.Clinic experience preferred.Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.Physical/Mental RequirementsMust be able to sit and stand intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day.Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition.Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces.Ability to travel 20% of the time, including flying and driving rental cars.To accommodate travel, must be able to transport own suitcases and portable computer estimated at 25 pounds.
