Client Relationship Specialist, KEF

Location 1000 South McCaslin Boulevard, Superior Colorado Job Summary Key Equipment Finance, a division of Key Bank National Association, provides tailored equipment lease and finance solutions for small‑to‑large commercial clients and government entities. Key Equipment Finance specializes in manufacturing, marine, transportation, renewable energy, and corporate aviation markets, as well as other capital assets. Additionally, Key Equipment Finance supports exposure management and sources additional liquidity for corporations seeking to optimize their equipment finance administration. The Client Relationship Specialist (CRS) will work within a Bank‑Channel specific region(s) to play a pivotal role within the Sales team, providing sales support from transaction identification to closing. The CRS will oversee all administrative activity for the Region team, including transaction inputs, review of pricing and rate locks, proposal generation, asset management requests, and providing the KEF credit submission form for Bank underwriting. The CRS will also review credit approvals prior to completion to ensure the accuracy of all transaction variables. Furthermore, the CRS will be a front‑line communicator, establishing relationships with client operations staff to ensure complete and accurate documentation submittals through the collection of invoices, proof of payment, insurance, required UCC releases, and other identified factors. Responsibilities Adaptable to multiple situations, self‑starter with strong attention to detail, managing multiple priorities. Effective communication and industry‑leading customer service in a demanding transactional environment. Participate in cross‑functional activities and act as liaison between clients and internal stakeholders (credit, asset management, pricing, contract/account managers, bankers, etc.) for transaction structuring and submittals through the entire sales process to closing. Work with EFOs and bank RM’s to prepare credit facility submittals for underwriting and assist in creating client proposals, pricing runs, and document requests. Act as a point of contact for clients, Bank Relationship Managers, and internal partners. Review and refine processes and procedures, employing best practices where applicable. Enter transaction data within the designated front‑end system and review details prior to documentation, ensuring correct customer legal name, organization structure, equipment cost, description, location, pricing, tax, and other internal parameters. Understand product, pricing, and documentation structures; identify core contractual issues and suggest resolutions while adhering to credit, legal, compliance, and company policy and procedure. Participate in projects as directed by management or business needs and perform other duties as assigned. Opportunity to meet with clients; overnight travel approximately 10‑15% may be required. Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, maintaining professional conduct and ethical business practices, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key and its clients. Education Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree (required) Experience Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in documentation and account management in equipment leasing, secured lending, or commercial banking. Knowledge of commercial & industrial financing sectors and syndication buy/sell preferred. (required) Thorough knowledge of the equipment finance sales process, including prospect identification, prospecting, pre‑qualification, key issue identification, proposal development, and presentation skills. (required) Thorough knowledge of equipment finance documentation and processes, including titled vehicle requirements and aircraft finance; KYC knowledge a plus. (required) Superior time‑management, training and presentation, computer, and strategic thinking skills. Working knowledge of computer‑based pricing models, customer relationship management software, nCino, SuperTrump, and Tableau reporting. (required) Proactive, detail‑oriented, driven to work in a fast‑learning environment. Able to prioritize and reallocate workload in a dynamic, deadline‑focused environment. Self‑starter and able to deliver results. (required) Experience with customers and remote sales teams. Leads cross‑functional activities to finalize underwriting, leasing terms, and funding in a timely fashion in accordance with delegations of authority. (required) Ability to set realistic expectations internally and externally regarding transaction conditions and turnaround times. Maintain and update pipeline activity through an online sales management tool to produce timely and accurate forecasts. Compensation And Benefits This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 – $125,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
