Role Description The Assistant Baker is a full-time, on-site position at Strossner’s Bakery in Greenville, South Carolina. We are looking to fill this position immediately. Responsibilities Prepare, measure, mix, portion, shape, and bake ingredients according to established recipes Follow daily production schedules and complete assigned tasks efficiently Monitor baked goods for proper appearance, texture, consistency, and quality Properly handle, label, store, and rotate ingredients and finished products Operate bakery equipment safely and correctly Maintain clean and organized workstations, equipment, and production areas Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Communicate with team members to help ensure orders are completed accurately and on time Assist with additional bakery production duties as needed Qualifications Foundational knowledge of baking and commercial kitchen operations Experience with food preparation, including measuring, mixing, portioning, and safely handling ingredients Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules accurately Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality Good time-management and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a bakery environment, including lifting and moving ingredients, trays, and equipment Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Experience with bread production, including mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking, is preferred but not required Previous bakery, pastry, culinary, food-production, or commercial-kitchen experience is preferred Formal culinary or baking education is a plus but is not required #J-18808-Ljbffr
