About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Float Pool Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00-15:30) Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Compact License required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: - Proficiency in memory care techniques and protocols - Knowledge of MDS (Minimum Data Set) assessments for long-term care facilities - Familiarity with operations in skilled nursing, sub-acute, and dementia units - Strong background in case management practices - Excellent interpersonal skills and communication strategies - Ability to work effectively in a medical office environment - Experience in providing support with specialized areas such as PT, OT, SUD, and pain management - Familiarity with IV skills, IV medications, tube feedings, and light wound care Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool, you will provide care for long-term residents. Duties include medication administration and using an electronic medical record system. You will assess resident health problems and develop and implement nursing care plans. Monitoring resident progress and responding to changes in condition are essential tasks. You should have proficiency in memory care techniques, with knowledge of MDS assessments. Your role requires experience in skilled nursing, sub-acute, and dementia units. A strong background in case management practices is necessary. Effective communication and task management strategies will be vital in this position. Each day will involve working in a medical office environment, interacting with residents and staff. Familiarity with IV skills, IV medications, tube feedings, and light wound care is preferred.
