Activities Aide/ Caregiver (CNA or HHA)

Brookside Senior Living, a 57-unit Cassia community, is currently seeking an outgoing and energetic Part-Time Activities Aide/ Caregiver (CNA or HHA) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting recreational activities for our residents in our Memory Care unit. You will also care for and assist our residents with activities of daily living.

Position Type: Part-Time including every other weekend and holidays

Shift Available: Days, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm

Wage Range: $17 - $24 / hour depending on experience

Location: 804 Benson Rd, Montevideo, MN 56265

Activities Aide/ Caregiver (CNA, HHA) responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct recreational activities for our residents in our Memory Care unit.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living and medication administration.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Assist with mobility and transportation care.
• Help each resident reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Maintain records of each resident's participation in activities and programs.
• Function as a team member with other staff in the performance of duties.

Activities Aide/ Caregiver (CNA, HHA) skills and requirements:

• Current Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate preferred but not required.
• Home Health Aide (HHA) experience required.
• Must be punctual, with a good attendance record.
• Experienced working with advanced stages of dementia preferred.
• Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.
• Good communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
• Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.
