Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal – Personal Injury & Civil Litigation to provide comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

This position will be responsible for assisting with pleadings, discovery, court filings, case organization, medical records and bills, lien management, settlement support, and trial preparation. The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys and legal staff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, Case Management Conference (CMC) statements, and other legal documents, and file documents with the court.
• Manage case calendars, hearings, deadlines, statutes, and other critical litigation dates.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files and ensure case documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Prepare and organize exhibits, evidence, discovery materials, and document productions.
• Draft interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and other discovery requests and responses.
• Gather, organize, and analyze relevant information from clients, opposing counsel, medical providers, experts, and other sources.
• Review and organize medical records and medical bills.
• Track and manage medical and other liens throughout the litigation and settlement process.
• Assist attorneys with case development, litigation strategy, and trial preparation.
• Prepare trial-related materials, exhibits, witness materials, and other documents as requested.
• Assist with settlement preparation, including reviewing settlement documentation and coordinating required information.
• Maintain accurate case notes and status updates within the case management system.
• Coordinate communications and logistics with clients, attorneys, courts, opposing counsel, medical providers, and other parties.
• Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with gathering relevant statutes, case law, and other legal authorities.
• Perform general administrative and litigation support duties as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client and case information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of paralegal experience , preferably in personal injury and/or civil litigation.
• Candidates with less than 3 years of paralegal experience may be considered if they have relevant experience as a litigation assistant or legal secretary .
• Strong understanding of civil litigation processes, including pleadings, discovery, evidence, court rules, procedures, and deadlines.
• Knowledge of personal injury litigation, including medical records, medical bills, settlements, and lien tracking and management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively supporting attorneys and collaborating with a legal team.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn and navigate multiple legal technology platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
