MI Serenity LLC provides Home and Community Based Services for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness. Our mission is to empower every individual we serve to reach their fullest potential while living a life with dignity.

We currently support 44 individuals in 16 ISL homes with a dedicated team of more than 150 employees .

Position Summary

The Employee Relations Coordinator serves as the primary resource for employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling support, compliance, and employee engagement.

This individual works closely with leadership to ensure employees receive the support, guidance, and resources they need while helping maintain a positive, professional workplace culture.

Essential Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions and provide guidance regarding company policies and procedures

• Recruit, schedule, and conduct interviews for employment opportunities

• Conduct new employee orientation and coordinate the onboarding process

• Prepare hiring paperwork, new employee packets, and employment documentation

• Complete background screenings, E Verify, and Missouri Employee Registry requirements

• Create employee email accounts, assign timekeeping access, and enroll employees in required training systems

• Conduct CPR, Positive Behavioral Supports, and Sexual Harassment Prevention training

• Coordinate employee benefits enrollment and communicate with insurance providers

• Prepare and maintain bi weekly ISL staff schedules and assist Team Leads with staffing coverage

• Create and distribute employee communications and company documents

• Welcome new employees and communicate employment updates

• Assist leadership with employee relations, coaching, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution

• Assist with termination documentation and exit interviews

• Maintain employee records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment regulations

• Promote a positive, respectful, and professional workplace culture

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Minimum of three years of experience in employee relations, human resources, recruiting, management, healthcare administration, or a related leadership role

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field

• Experience working in healthcare, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or human services

• Experience with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance

• CPR Instructor certification or willingness to become certified

Schedule

Full Time

Monday through Friday

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
