Job Description As a Security Officer for Cemetery Patrol in Rowland Heights, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Security Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to guests, staff, and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a positive environment through teamwork and integrity. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon01:00 PM - 09:00 PMTue01:00 PM - 09:00 PMWed01:00 PM - 09:00 PMThur01:00 PM - 09:00 PMFri01:00 PM - 09:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location. Monitor access points, greet and direct visitors, verify authorized entry, and report unusual activity or access concerns according to site procedures. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or security-related concerns. Support a respectful and welcoming environment during services, events, and daily operations while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive behavior. Minimum Requirements: Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
