Certified Nursing Assistant CNA

Job Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing fundamental patient care and support in group home and day center settings. Working under the direct supervision of a nurse, the CNA assists 1 to 5 patients per shift, supporting their daily living activities and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment. This role encompasses both day and night shifts, requiring a compassionate and attentive approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

Provide basic patient care and support for daily activities
Monitor and record vital signs accurately
Assist patients with mobility and personal hygiene
Maintain proper documentation of patient care and observations
Implement infection control and safety protocols
Set up and maintain medical equipment as needed
Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout shifts
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team

Required Qualifications

Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program
Entry-level experience in nursing assistance
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency in measuring vital signs
Knowledge of infection control practices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Effective time management abilities
