This individual will serve a key function in producing high quality engineering construction plans, applying technical expertise to support various business needs. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top industry leadership in a technologically-progressive environment.Job ResponsibilitiesReview engineering design tasks for an engineering office, including the appearance of all CAD drawings and general quality assurance and quality controlApply knowledge to translate conceptual designs into engineering designsServe as the expert on technical projects, such as utility designAssist the Survey department with legal descriptions and exhibitsCreate GIS base mappingMaintain plotting equipmentTrains users and provide expert-level technical support for engineering technologies and custom softwareMaintain a thorough understanding of the company's policies and procedures, as well as the methods and procedures specific to area of expertisePerform other duties as requestedQualificationsHigh School Diploma; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or demonstrated equivalent knowledge; 10+ years of experience in AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills with the ability to design land development plans from concept through completion; Knowledge of local, county, and state land use processes and regulations; water management district regulations is a plus; Proficient in site, stormwater management, storm conveyance, grading, calculations, utility design and erosion and sediment control design; Strong commitment to customer service and work directly with clients to resolve their inquiries; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities; Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; and Possess reliable transportation to access job sites and a valid driver's license in good standing.Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
