Specimen Processor ILabcorp is seeking a Specimen Processor I to join our team in New Hartford NY.Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 4:00 pm – 12:30 am, and rotating SaturdaysJob Responsibilities:Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testingCommunicate effectively with client office staffResearch, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problemsMeet department activity and production goalsData entry of patient information in an accurate and timely mannerAccurately identify and label specimensPack and ship specimens to proper testing facilitiesScrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updatedDo spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on clientMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED or equivalent1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, data entry, manufacturing or warehousePreferred Qualifications:1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experienceAdditional Job Standards:Comfortable handling biological specimensAbility to accurately identify specimensExperience working in a team environmentStrong data entry and organizational skillsHigh level of attention to detailExperience with MS OfficeAble to lift up to 40lbs.Able to pass a standardized color blindness testAre you organized, accountable, and have always gone the extra mile to make sure things are done right? The Specimen Processor will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.**Pay Range: $17.75 - $19.00 per hourAll job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market dataBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
