Therapist Physical 1

Physical Therapist Location: BSW Lakepointe Medical Center, 9400 Lakeview Pkwy, Suite 124, Rowlett, Texas 75088 Shift: Full Time, Outpatient, Day Shift (8 hours daily) Must have a current Physical Therapist license issued by the State of Texas. Job Summary The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function. Essential Functions Evaluates, treats and monitors patients. Modifies therapy program and goals. Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to the practice setting. Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff. Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers. Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence‑based practice. Produces and shares knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines. Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals. Key Success Factors Problem‑solving skills required at the level necessary to accomplish the job. Good communication skills. Able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff. Exceptional face‑to‑face synergy and leadership skills with all levels of the healthcare team. Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors, physicians, and coworkers. Proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard rehabilitation equipment. High attention to detail in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining a high level of productivity. Qualifications Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification. Experience: Less than 1 year of experience. Certification/License/Registration: Physical Therapist (PT) license. Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
