JOB SUMMARY The Cardiac Cath Lab Technician demonstrates critical thinking skills and judgment in assisting with the performance of imaging studies in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Technician is responsible and accountable to perform studies timely, under the direction of the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist or Director of Imaging Services. Key Responsibilities Assist with the performance of imaging studies in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Perform studies timely under the direction of the Cardiologist, Chief Technologist or Director of Imaging Services. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and judgment. Ability to scrub/xray and monitor procedures. Schedule / Shift Days 5x8s, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Includes call rotation. Potential to move to 4x10s schedule. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program or possess equivalent certification. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Cardiac/Peripheral Cath procedures. Proven ability to scrub, perform X-ray, and monitor procedures. Certifications BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) Experience 3+ years of experience in Cardiac/Peripheral Cath procedures. Skills Scrubbing X-ray operation Patient monitoring Critical thinking Judgment EMR / Systems Not specified. Patient Population Adult cardiac and peripheral patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures. Unit / Specialty Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Cardiology EP Lab (Electrophysiology) Hybrid OR Floating / On-Call On-call duties are required as part of the shift schedule.
