Position Summary TheGeneral Labor positionis responsibleformany entry level positions within the production work area.This position would be placed as a Fryer Grader, Packer, Sanitation Worker, Supply Attendant, and more.This role works closely with the department supervisors, other departmentleads,and processing team members,in order toaccomplishaccuracy within the processing department and to ensure that our customers receive quality products.Thispositionexecutesprocessesthat ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations, supporting FosterPoultryFarms’ mission, vision, and ACTION guiding principles: Accountability, Collaboration, Truth-Seeking, Initiative, Ownership, and Nimbleness. Essential Functions Observe all stick bar assemblies as they rotate from underneath through the stick insertion process. Monitor stick bars for pieces of broken stick still adhered within the fryer clips. Notify the Fryer Operator when (a) broken stick(s) isobserved. Utilize a handheld counter to count theamountof broken sticks that have madeifthrough the process. Utilize a flashlight toassistwithmonitoringthe stick bars as they cycle through the process. Other duties as assigned. Responsible for removing “B-grade”productfrom the line and placing them into acondemnbarrel. Responsible for ensuringproductis separated and the transfer forproductinto the freezer is clean. Notify a Sanitation or Condemn Room Attendant Team Member when thecondemnbarrel is full. Other duties as assigned. Packer Responsible for packing theappropriate numberof frozen corndogs in boxes using proper equipment and procedures. Visually inspect and gradeproducttodeterminegrade for production lines. Perform other duties as assigned. Sanitation Maintain good housekeeping and sanitary conditions in all areason the production floor. Help maintain and improve quality and food safety to ensure compliance with company standards and USDA regulatory requirements. Other duties as assigned. Product Inspector Visually and physically inspectorproductat any step in the process for quality to ensure compliance with company standards and USDA regulatory requirements. Notify leadership of any consistent abnormalities detectedto avoidpoor qualityproducts. Other duties as assigned. Stacker Stack cases of frozen corndogs onto pallets, using required stacking patterns whilemaintainingacceptable quality, productivity and safety standards, and transport with pallet jack. Other duties asassigned. Supply Attendant Responsible formaintainingand organizing PPE supplyroom. Responsible for cleanliness of bootroom, restrooms, break rooms, and other surrounding areas. Responsible for notifying management of PPE inventoryon a consistent basis. Responsible for distribution of PPEin accordance withGMP policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned. All personnel employed or associated with Foster Poultry Farmsare responsible forthe quality and food safety of company products. The food safety and quality policies are summarized and communicated in a company handbook and at training sessions. Each new hire isprovideda handbook and attends a food safety training session before beginning work. All employees attend a refresher training session at least onceperyear. Records aremaintainedreflecting the distribution of employee handbooks and attendance at the training sessions. Physical Requirements Qualified applicants must be able toperformthe following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Must be able to stand forup to 10 hourson a wet concrete floor Must be able to withstand a cold (40-48degree) environment. Must be able to withstand a hot (80+ degree) environment. Must be able tosafelylift upto50lbs. Must be able to work in afast pacework environment. Qualifications Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Must be able tosubmitand pass a criminal background check, drug screen, andE-verify. Must be able to read and writeEnglish. Musthave basic math skills. Musthave reliable transportation. HS diploma or equivalent. Ability to communicate with all levels including management. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Decision making ability for the flagging of deviation from procedures. Basic knowledge of sanitation and clean up preferred. Goodleadershipand interpersonal skills. Able to work safely and set an example of safe working habits fortheircoworkers. Must be able to safelyoperateforklift and/or pallet jack.
