About Us
We are a growing organization with multiple subsidiaries seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Controller / QuickBooks Expert to join our finance team. This role supports the Controller in all aspects of accounting operations, monthly close, and reporting across several related entities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys working collaboratively, and has strong technical proficiency in both QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online .
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Controller with day-to-day accounting operations across multiple subsidiaries
- Perform full monthly close process, including reviewing financials for completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and maintain account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet accounts, intercompany, etc.)
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Create and post journal entries , including monthly accruals and adjustments
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for management
- Support the annual audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting records across all entities
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and QuickBooks Online required
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (multi-entity experience a plus)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting procedures
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and report directly to the Controller
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
