HIRING SPECIALIST-RECRUITMENT - 60062771

Salary: $40,000 annually ($1,538.46 biweekly). Location: West Palm Beach, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor vacancies and develop plans to fill positions with viable candidate pools. Plan and participate in job fairs/hiring events, building relationships with internal and external organizations to enhance the talent pipeline. Collaborate with program hiring managers to ensure a fair and consistent interview process, coordinate interview schedules, and utilize approved selection tools. Determine candidate eligibility, ensuring they meet minimum requirements and any program cutoff scores for advancement. Send automated pre‑screening tests and willingness questionnaires to eligible candidates. Collect interview/work scenario results and scorecards from programs, advancing selected candidates to the hiring stage. Distribute job postings to the Statewide Advertising Team, apply veterans' preference appropriately, and ensure scoring is awarded at each hiring stage. Maintain requisitions and coordinate their closure with the Statewide Advertising Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection activities. Experience determining candidate eligibility using an applicant tracking system. Valid driver’s license (travel required for off‑site job fairs, interviews, and meetings).

PREFERENCES

Experience, education, or training in hiring, employee recruitment, and selection activities. Experience with DCF HR systems, People First Talent Management System, and Microsoft Office Excel and Word. Knowledge of Department of Children & Families services related to child welfare, adult protection, economic self‑sufficiency, or mental health treatment facilities direct care.

Communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collect, evaluate, and analyze data; work independently by planning, organizing, and coordinating assignments. Listen effectively, speak clearly, and utilize problem‑solving techniques.
