Role OverviewThe Global Head of Payroll is responsible for leading, designing, and executing the company’s global payroll strategy across all regions. This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving standardization, automation, and operational excellence across multiple jurisdictions.The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with deep global payroll expertise, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-country payroll operations at scale.Key ResponsibilitiesGlobal Payroll Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute a global payroll strategy aligned with business growth and expansion planLead and mentor a distributed payroll team across multiple regionEstablish global governance, operating models, and best practicePartner with HR, Finance, Legal, and Tax to ensure alignment and integrationPayroll OperationsOversee end-to-end payroll delivery across all countries and entityEnsure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salaries, bonuses, equity, and benefitManage payroll calendars, reporting, and reconciliationDrive continuous improvement in payroll processes and service deliveryCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure full compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements across all jurisdictionsMonitor and manage regulatory changes impacting payroll operationsMitigate risks related to payroll errors, audits, and penaltyOversee internal and external payroll auditsSystems & TransformationsLead payroll technology strategy, including system selection, implementation, and optimizationDrive automation and digital transformation initiatives (e.g., payroll platforms, integrations, AI tools)Ensure seamless integration with HRIS, finance systems, and time tracking solutionsManage global payroll vendors and outsourcingData, Reporting & AnalysisProvide payroll insights and reporting to executive leadershipEnsure data integrity, security, and confidentialityDevelop dashboards and KPIs to measure payroll performance and efficiencyStakeholder ManagementAct as the global payroll subject matter expert for executive leadershipPartner with regional HR and Finance leaders to address local needsSupport M&A activity, including due diligence and payroll integrationQualificationsRequired10-15+ years of payroll experience, including significant global leadershipProven experience managing payroll across multiple countries/regionDeep knowledge of global payroll regulations, tax laws, and complianceExperience leading large, distributed teams and managingStrong background in payroll systemsDemonstrated experience in payroll transformationThe SR Group (US), Inc. is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.Please note that your personal information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
