Job Description

A Pleasanton, California based client is seeking an experienced, collaborative family practice physician to join its primary care team at a community health center. An ideal candidate works well amongst an interdisciplinary team, is bilingual in Spanish and English (not a requirement) and can be a new graduate. This role involves providing primary care services to a community in an outpatient setting. 

Required Qualifications 

\n
• Attended an accredited medical school with a MD or DO degree
\n
• Completed an accredited residency program
\n
• DEA certificate
\n
• Board certification or eligible in internal medicine or family medicine
\n
• BLS certification
\n

Responsibilities

\n
• Assess patient health by performing physical examinations and taking patient history
\n
• Supervises assigned NP and PA staff on clinical responsibilities
\n
• Order diagnostic tests and laboratory studies, interpret results and create treatment plans based on results
\n
• Perform therapeutic procedures, manage wounds and injuries, and educate patients on their treatment plans
\n
• Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services for patients on caseload
\n
• Document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy
\n
• Assist with utilization review, quality assurance, and risk management programs
\n
