Production Stockroom Operator

Job Overview Performs work as part of a team in an industrial laundry facility. Responsible for the safe, expeditious, and accurate handling of merchandise into and/or out of the laundry facility. The Team Lead ensures a high level of service to customers while maintaining overall profitability by assisting with the management of safety, productivity, accuracy, turnover, and training within the department. Responsibilities/Essential Functions Team Lead responsibilities include: Train new employees Assist Management with monitoring employee performance and determining appropriate correction action Aid in resolving daily issues and escalate issues as required Provide guidance to the team based on Management direction Assist Management in coordinating employee work schedules and breaks Lead special projects as assigned Removes orders from the trolley or pulls used merchandise for mending, replacement, and exchange Pulls badges/emblems and attaches to order form, sorts batches by garment families, sews badges/emblems on garments, and hems pants Identifies and segregates merchandise not meeting specified quality standards and company grading policy for used garments in terms of rips, tears, holes, ink spots, missing buttons, loose hems, and stains Accurately counts and sorts merchandise, and sew badges/emblems straight and on the proper garments Replaces garments on trolley and pushes completed trolley to next station Maintains safe and clean work environment and observes best practices in all production activities Other duties as assigned Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to understand all required training, written, and verbal instructions Working knowledge of basic math skills Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to meet attendance schedule Working Environment/Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements Work is performed in a warehouse setting and regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme heat and cold conditions as well as dust and noise Work is based on a shift schedule and may include weekends Overtime required as needed Physical Requirements Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull bags weighing up to 20 lbs Requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, or pull product weighing up to 10 lbs Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, pressing, and lifting Requires the use of hands for grasping and other manipulations Requires standing and walking for long periods of time Experience/Qualifications High school degree or equivalent Location: MC#626 Caspian MIPay: $17.08 an hour Shift: 5am-1:30pm M-F
