Details Work in the Surgery Recovery Room (PACU) providing post-anesthesia care Day shift schedule from 08:00 to 17:00 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required Current BLS certification (AHA) ACLS certification typically required Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required PACU, ICU, critical-care, ED, or perioperative nursing experience preferred Graduation from an accredited nursing program, BSN preferred PALS certification preferred for pediatric patient care CPAN or CAPA certification preferred Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start Additional Information Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical and diagnostic procedures Closely monitor patients during the immediate post-anesthesia period, manage pain and nausea, and identify complications Coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines for well-coordinated patient care Requires strong assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response skills Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced, stressful environment COVID-19 vaccination not required Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location First-time travelers may be considered American Traveler Job ID P-749330.
