General Manager

General Manager – Manufacturing Operations – Direct Hire Pay: $90,000+ annually Depending on experience

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, AS9100, NADCAP, or continuous improvement certifications are a plus. Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality systems, production planning, and financial management.

Experience Requirements: 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial finishing, metal finishing, or related industries. Proven success managing production, quality, maintenance, safety, customer service, and operational teams. Experience with AS9100, NADCAP, ISO, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Strong background in P&L management, budgeting, KPI tracking, workforce development, and operational strategy. Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process improvement, and productivity initiatives.

Physical Capabilities: Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout manufacturing and production facilities daily. Ability to safely navigate industrial environments and wear required PPE. Capable of occasional lifting, carrying, and moving materials associated with management duties. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, vendors, and executive leadership. Willingness to travel between facilities and attend customer or supplier meetings as needed.

Job Duties: Lead all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, safety, customer service, and administration. Develop and execute business strategies, operational goals, budgets, and growth initiatives. Drive operational excellence through KPI management, process optimization, workflow improvements, and cost reduction programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA, AS9100, NADCAP, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Oversee financial performance, revenue growth, labor utilization, profitability, inventory control, and capital planning. Build and develop high-performing leadership teams while promoting accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Maintain strong customer relationships, support business development efforts, and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement programs to increase productivity, quality, and profitability.
