Park & Recreation Receptionist ( Part-Time)

Job Description

Performs cashier and clerical work involving contact with the public. The primary responsibilities include program registration, answering telephone, counter inquiries, filing and general support.

Duties

• Answers telephone and counter inquiries relating to programs, facility rentals and general inquiries about the department.
• Performs registration and process all related paperwork.
• Receives payment for programs and services.
• Answers multi-line telephone system.
• Provides support to Director and Staff.
• Performs related duties as required.
• Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned part-time, in person Friday 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M work hours, including a 1-hour lunch.

Typical Qualifications

• High School graduation and one year of Clerical experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and minimum keyboard speed of 40 WPM.
• Internet skills including use of emails and multi-phone system.
• Customer Service and Administrative support experience.
• Effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
• Knowledge of clerical functions.
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions.
• Skills with computer, standard office software, keyboarding and internet.
• Ability to learn Recreation Department operations, policies and procedures.
