Service Manager Pivot Irrigation Services Location: Rocky Ford, CO / Granada, CO Company: Pipeyard Job Type: Full-Time | Salaried | Leadership Role Industry: Agricultural Irrigation Services Position Summary Pipeyard is seeking an experienced and driven Service Manager to lead and oversee its pivot irrigation service operations in southeastern Colorado. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for clients requiring service on pivot irrigation systems and is responsible for the day‑to‑day management, training, and development of the field service team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, deep technical knowledge of pivot irrigation systems, and the ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver timely, high‑quality service. This role is critical to ensuring Pipeyard’s reputation for excellent customer service and technical reliability continues to grow in the region. Key Responsibilities Act as the lead liaison for clients with service needs related to pivot irrigation systems Oversee and schedule service teams , ensuring proper technician deployment, productivity, and accountability Coordinate with internal departments (sales, inventory, finance, etc.) to ensure seamless end‑to‑end service delivery Handle service escalations and act as point‑of‑contact for complex technical issues requiring resolution Provide hands‑on troubleshooting support and maintain detailed knowledge of product systems and service protocols Mentor and train field service technicians on service procedures, safety standards, and customer interaction Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on service KPIs, performance metrics, and team productivity Implement and continuously improve SOPs related to pivot service delivery and follow‑up Ensure proper use and accountability of company tools, equipment, and resources Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new service team members as needed Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and company policies Reporting Structure Reports To: General Manager Supervises: Field Service Technicians (Rocky Ford & Granada) Coordinates With: Inventory Control, Finance, Technical Training, and Ownership Qualifications Education and Licensing High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications in agriculture or mechanical systems preferred Experience Minimum 35 years of supervisory experience in a service management, irrigation, or field operations role Proven expertise with pivot irrigation systems (Valley, Reinke, Zimmatic, etc.) is highly desirable Experience coordinating and dispatching mobile service crews Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Strong mechanical and technical problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Team‑oriented leadership with a hands‑on, lead‑by‑example approach Proficiency in service scheduling, documentation, and basic reporting tools (MS Excel, Rock Solid CRM, etc.) Ability to interpret technical manuals, service orders, and customer specifications Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in varying weather conditions, and perform field inspections Comfortable working in and around active farm and industrial sites Working Conditions Office, yard, and field‑based role (travel between Rocky Ford and Granada locations required) Regular working hours: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with rotating on‑call weekends Occasional evening or emergency hours as needed to resolve urgent service issues Competitive base salary based on experience Company vehicle or mileage reimbursement PTO and retirement plan available after probationary period Ongoing training and advancement opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Pipeyard
