Accounts Payable Lead Permanent salary: $120k – $140k Location: Manhattan (Hybrid) Hybrid: 2 days on site We are seeking an experienced Head of Accounts Payable / AP Leader to take ownership of a high-volume AP function within a fast‑paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for someone who can step into a challenged, high‑volume environment , stabilize operations, and build a best‑in‑class AP function. You will lead both people and process, ensuring accurate, timely payments while implementing strong controls and driving meaningful process improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the end‑to‑end Accounts Payable function, including team and process oversight and systems management/configuration (SAP Concur) Assess current processes, identify gaps, and implement best‑in‑class AP procedures and controls Drive transformation from a transactional “invoice processing” function to a control‑focused, value‑driven operation Oversee vendor management, including onboarding, issue resolution, and relationship management Ensure accuracy and integrity of invoice processing and payment execution (ACH, wires, checks) Establish and maintain strong financial controls to mitigate risk and prevent errors or fraud Manage high‑volume AP operations (~$100M annually) with a focus on efficiency and accuracy Leverage systems (including SAP Concur) to optimize workflows and drive automation Monitor KPIs, reporting, and SLAs to ensure operational effectiveness Partner with finance and business stakeholders to improve processes and service delivery Essential Requirements Proven experience leading an Accounts Payable function in a mid‑to‑large organization ($70 million +) Strong background in process improvement, controls, and AP transformation Experience operating in a high‑volume AP environment Hands‑on experience with SAP Concur (preferred) and ERP systems Ability to diagnose issues, implement solutions, and rebuild processes where needed Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams Excellent stakeholder and vendor management capabilities Profile We’re Looking For Passionate about Accounts Payable and operational excellence Strong sense of ownership and accountability Detail‑oriented with a control mindset Resilient and comfortable working in a turnaround / evolving environment Able to balance strategic improvement with hands‑on execution #J-18808-Ljbffr Oakleaf Partnership
