PRN CT Technologist

American Health Imaging is looking for a registered PRN CT Technologist for Conyers, GA location. This is a PRN role, with hours from either 7AM to 10PM. Job Summary As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients! Responsibilities Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality. Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patient Provide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients’ needs and questions Position patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed. Verify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studies Obtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administration Perform venipuncture for administration of IV contrast Prepare and administer contrast media according to established practices Utilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as needed Utilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentation Maintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patient Perform daily and monthly QA procedures on scanner Follow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices.
