CT Technologist

Schedule

Monday – Thursday 9:30pm – 8am EST; on call, callback, holidays per unit needs.

Assignment Details

Contract length and guaranteed hours/week will be provided.

Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain PRIOR to starting position).
• Two (2) years' experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients accordingly, utilizing safe patient handling.
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting within the EMR system.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning facility.
