Institutional Research Analyst Regular Full-Time Staff Standish, ME, US 3 days ago Requisition ID: 2194 Salary Range: $55,063.00 To $66,076.00 Annually POSITION DESCRIPTION Saint Joseph's College of Maine seeks a dynamic individual for the position of INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH ANALYST ! Provides general statistics and manages institutional research requirements of the College by: Serving as the principal provider of official institutional data and the completion of coordinated responses to meet mandatory federal and state compliance reporting Preparing and providing statistical reports to the President, Vice-Presidents and outside agencies on a regular basis Working with areas of the College responsible for data input to improve processes for collecting and inputting accurate data into data systems Providing analysis, statistical interpretation, and assessment of data Developing and maintaining tracking and reporting systems Working with the Institutional Assessment Team to measure and track outcomes across the College Reporting accurate and consistent information about the institution to internal and external stakeholders and submitsurveys on behalf of the College Serve as IPEDS keyholder Implements an IR plan based on best practices and emergingtrends in institutional research by: Formulating and communicating a system-wide agenda thatsupports the College in moving towards a data-savvy environment, including improved utilization of data tosupport future planning priorities and resource managementstrategies Troubleshooting data management issues across variousinstitutional departments and monitoring the overall status of datacollection, reporting, and use to promote continuous improvement Creating synergies among data systems including data related tostudents, finances, HR, and academics and developing processes toforge common data definitions and cross-walks among currentlysiloed data sets Providing data and information resources to support strategicplanning, accreditation, institutional effectiveness initiatives, policyformulation, program review, and assessment requirements Developing and implementing strategies to effectivelycommunicate institutional research and analyses, e.g., throughreports, dashboards, drill-down reporting systems Serving as the steward overseeing access to and use of studentinformation and data systems Conduct statistical forecasts to support institutionalplanning and assessment in support of the college’s missionand strategic initiatives by: Support the Office of the Registrar and Institutional Research astechnical liaison to IT Conducting quantitative and qualitative research for identifyingtrends related to college functions including, but not limited to,enrollment trends, retention, graduation, demographics, outcomes,and other critical institutional statistics Developing and maintaining an understanding of College initiativesand their strategic alignment as well as being responsible fordeveloping and maintaining data dashboards serving internal dataneeds while working collaboratively with stakeholders tounderstand their needs and develop clear research objectives andquestions Supporting and contributing to a culture of data informed decision-making by designing reports that present accurate, consistent datain a clear and compelling manner to technical and non-technicalusers Support the technical needs of the Office of the Registrar andInstitutional Research MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree required; bachelor’s degree in data analytics, business analytics, appliedmathematics, computer science, or comparable discipline (preferred) Three to Five (3-5) years of experience in institutional research, registrar’s office, datacollection, analysis and reporting Experience preparing required federal and state reports (e.g., IPEDS and state highereducation reporting) with a high degree of accuracy About Saint Joseph’s College of Maine Founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1912, Saint Joseph’s College is Maine’s only Catholic college.
