Maintenance Mechanic II - Full Time

Maintenance TechnicianResponsible for highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facilities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. The Maintenance and service of the buildings and grounds include mechanical equipment, machinery, and components. Completes all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Minimum supervision on highly complex projects and activities is required. Incumbents at this level may act as team leader on various projects and activities.Standards of PerformancePerforms complex work related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and facilities.Assists with the development and implements preventative maintenance measures.Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.Completes inspections of offices and clinical areas.Responds quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and facilities, to include scheduled maintenance repairs and calibrations.Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Conducts diagnoses of problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.Performs regular and special preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.Performs a variety of minor and semi complex plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.Detects faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.Complies with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.Assists with the training of new staff members and may serve as a mentor to less experience Technicians.Performs other maintenance duties as requested.Conditions of EmploymentAll information is subject to verification. Plumbing, Electrical, Grounds/Pesticide and/or HVAC, certification preferred. EPA certification preferred.Work Experience: An apprenticeship and/ significant formal training in areas of specialty and /or general maintenance capability. 3 - 6 plus years of experience for entry into this position. Experienced in operating a variety of hand tool equipment for usage in facility repairs. Technicians in this classification has mastered multiple areas of maintenance and able to demonstrate performance of a seasoned maintenance professional.Tools and Equipment Used: Calculator, personal computer, telephone, facsimile machine, paper shredder, copier, printer, hammer, ladder, screwdrivers, heating & cooling & refrigeration equipment, plumbing, carpentry power tools, etc.
