This position will work within the warehouse and is trained to build copiers/printers and to be able to program/test the equipment to ensure the machine is working properly. The associate must have good computer skills to send out emails and documents to other departments within the company. Your Impact at BDS Essential Functions/Tasks/Responsibilities: New Equipment Builds - Assemble machines as per specifications with hand and power tools and measuring devices. Run machines to test parts functionality. Shipping/receiving Operate pallet jacks/ability to obtain forklift certification Maintain professional appearance, and personal conduct always Assist in assuring a safe work environment Adhere to warehouse standard operating procedures Pay attention to detail, is dependable, productive, works well in a team setting Warehouse cleanliness and upkeep Cycle Counts when necessary Always maintaining professionalism and great communication skills Mechanical aptitude Good computer skills – using Outlook email, Teams, Excel, etc. Able to understand and follow machine manuals Refurbishment assistance if necessary Requirements What You Will Need to be Successful Required education or experience: A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Valid driver’s license required, with a clean driving record and valid vehicle insurance Reliable transportation 1+ years of experience preferred in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of copier/printer office equipment. Industry knowledge of major copier and printer manufacturers such as Kyocera, HP, Canon, Ricoh, and/or Xerox preferred. Networking knowledge preferred. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Ability to adapt and work independently as well within a team setting Can-do attitude and a willingness to learn Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Must be able to pull, lift, reach, and transport equipment parts and boxes Travel may be asked for to deliver supplies to customers, but it is not required. All travel in personal vehicles is reimbursed via a per mile reimbursement rate.
