Maintenance Technician (Second Shift) – Airgas Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA (ADI) – Dry‑ice logistics Salary: $39.50 per hour Work schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. (Second Shift) Minimum availability: At least one weekend day per month required Responsibilities Perform repairs and installations on all plant production equipment. Complete preventive maintenance as assigned. Conduct equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and safety. Communicate repair functions with production supervisors. Identify and report safety hazards and quality deficiencies to maintenance management. Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack as needed to perform job functions. Enter data into maintenance and inventory software systems. Know and comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures. Perform general clean‑up duties, including sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal, and pick‑up. Assist with production needs as required. Work Environment Unconditioned workspace. Hazards require the use of personal protective equipment (hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes). Wet or oily floors may present slipping hazards. Dry ice is extremely cold; gloves must be worn when handling it directly. On‑call and shift work are required. Mental Demands Function safely in a noisy environment with elevated CO₂ vapor. Requires a collaborative mindset to troubleshoot and resolve time‑sensitive outages. Required Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Must be at least 21 years of age. Three (3) years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in a maintenance capacity. High degree of technical aptitude and skill to learn the function and repair of plant production equipment. Formal training in at least one of the following areas: General Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulics, Industrial Electrical Systems, PLC Programming, Industrial Refrigeration, Compressors, Pneumatics.
