As a QA Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance as we scale. You’ll be a hands-on contributor who works across engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers to prevent defects, solve problems, and continuously elevate product quality.

You are confident interpreting mechanical drawings, performing inspections, and communicating quality requirements to diverse stakeholders. You take ownership of CAPA, NCR, and FAI activities, ensuring processes are executed with rigor and accuracy. You collaborate effectively with suppliers and customers, turning data and trends into meaningful insights that guide improvement. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances, customer complaints, and field failures.
• Manage the CAPA and NCR process, including investigation, documentation, and follow-up.
• Perform incoming and in-process inspections, including first article inspections (FAI).
• Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for design improvements.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance.
• Conduct data analysis of problem logs and report on trends & needed improvements to multiple levels of management.
• Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in design reviews and provide input on quality requirements and risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, and ITAR.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve efficiency.

Education and Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Two plus (2+) years of experience with Quality Assurance in the Engineering industry.
• Strong knowledge of CAPA, NCR, ruggedized devices, advanced electronics, SMT, FAI, failure analysis, and customer quality.
• Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical drawings
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and drive for continuous improvement.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
• Highly competitive and self-motivated with the ability to “make it happen”.
• Time management, decision-making, and organizational skills capable of handling a demanding workload yet meeting positional and company objectives under pressure.
