Medical Surgical Nurse

Provide high-quality care to adult patients in a MedSurg unit, delivering comprehensive nursing services during night shifts. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, including insulin and telemetry medications, accurately and safely.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to rapid response activations, and provide necessary interventions.
• Document all patient interactions and nursing activities in Epic electronic health records.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Float within scope to support various units or sister facilities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or Compact RN license prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in MedSurg or Telemetry settings.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Epic charting and telemetry monitoring.
• Possess strong assessment skills and ability to respond to emergencies.
• Willing to work 4×12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
