Lead Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction Location: Moore, OklahomaSilver Star Construction is seeking a highly motivated Lead Estimator to join our employee-owned team. This role will focus on preparing estimates for roadway, earthwork, utility, and civil infrastructure projects while supporting strategic growth throughout Oklahoma.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirementsCalculate quantities and prepare detailed cost estimatesGather and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractorsIdentify potential project risks and constructability concernsParticipate in bid reviews and project strategy meetingsCoordinate with engineers, owners, and consultants throughout the bidding processEvaluate opportunities for alternative methods and cost efficienciesAssist with scheduling and proposal developmentMonitor compliance with DBE participation requirementsHelp establish estimating standards and best practicesProvide leadership and technical guidance to estimating team membersQualificationsExperience preparing estimates for transportation and heavy civil projectsDOT estimating experience required; ODOT familiarity preferredSkilled in estimating and project management software platformsStrong proficiency in HeavyBid, Bluebeam, AGTEK, Primavera P6, AutoCAD, Excel, and Microsoft ProjectBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline preferredEquivalent industry experience acceptedFive-plus years of estimating experience in civil constructionStrong attention to detail and analytical thinkingAbility to work effectively under tight bid deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompensation & PerksSalary commensurate with experienceMedical, Vision, Dental, and Life InsuranceShort-Term Disability Benefits401(k) PlanESOP Ownership OpportunityPTO ProgramSix Company-Paid HolidaysEOE – Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.Apply online at silverstarconst.com, visit 220 Industrial Blvd., Moore, OK 73160, or call View phone number on ziprecruiter.com.
