Job Description: Phlebotomist Phlebotomist Job Summary: Collects,processes, and delivers specimens to appropriate sections of the Laboratory for testing as ordered by the Physician. Actively participates in outstanding customer service. Establishes proficiency in collecting patient samples correctly, and proficiency and accuracy with laboratory EMR system for accurate order entry, faxing and printing, and scheduling. Must be comfortable with fast paced environmentand be able to multitask. Attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated through interactions with teams, staff, and management. Exerciseindependent judgement and can work under minimal supervision. Phlebotomist Qualifications: Education: Phlebotomy training is preferred but not required. ASCP or AMT Phlebotomy license preferred but not required. Experience in a hospital or clinic settingis preferred but not required. Experience with LIS computer system preferred but not required.
