Responsibilities Assist the Director of Therapy Operations in day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians. Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training and communications to ensure adequate coverage for patient treatments. Maintain open, ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff and hospital needs. Provide patient care in a licensed discipline, typically 80%-90% of work hours. Hold staff accountable for performance, motivate improvement and hold them accountable to the hospital mission. Lead the department’s measurement, assessment and continuous improvement efforts. Help staff improve clinical skills and overall performance through development and mentoring. Qualifications Licensed Physical Therapist or licensed discipline required. Proven supervisory skills and ability to manage a therapy team. Excellent communication skills for interdepartmental relationships. Competency in assessment, care planning and treatment for the licensed discipline. Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate scheduling and staffing.
