Car Wash Team Lead

Job Details Location: Mt Vernon, OH 43050 Position Type: Full‑time/Part‑time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $13.00 – $15.00 hourly Travel Percentage: None Shifts: Any Job Category: Retail Position Overview The Team Lead is responsible for operating daily processes at the car wash facility and delivering excellent customer service. Duties and Responsibilities Organize shift schedules for team members. Monitor attendance, tardiness, and time off. Assign duties to specific employees based on role and skills. Supervise employees and assist with tasks as needed. Manage employee requests and transgressions. Train new and current team members on tasks. Handle customer issues and manage conflicts. Adhere to company policies and health, safety and employment standards. Balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits. Greet customers courteously and explain available wash services. Process wash payments to customer satisfaction. Maintain facility cleanliness and organization (hoses, brushes, soap buckets, etc.). Assist customers with the car wash process and direct cars into the express tunnel. Conduct visual inspections of vehicles before sending them into the wash area. Ensure vacuums are unclogged, trash cans emptied, and hoses properly hung. Complete tasks with a sense of urgency and professionalism. Qualifications Display a courteous and professional attitude. Excellent customer service skills to ensure optimum customer satisfaction. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift moderately heavy items. Ability to work outdoors and cope with various weather conditions. Ethical interaction with fellow employees and customers. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle physical demands of the role. Follow directions and correctly implement tasks.
